Finance Analyst, Photonics Platforms Business

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Photonics Platforms Business (PPB) in Singapore. The role will own day‑to‑day Opex, Capex and spend management, partner with business stakeholders, and drive financial visibility across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Opex, Capex and spend reporting for PPB Singapore operations, including variance analysis and risk identification.
• Lead quarterly budgeting and forecast cycles, partnering with business partners to ensure spending discipline and investment optimization.
• Maintain and update standard cost models, perform cost variance analysis, and conduct monthly inventory counts.
• Track and support grant submissions, claims, and quarterly reporting.
• Consolidate financials for P&L forecasting, develop automated dashboards, and improve forecasting and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Accounting and COE teams to deliver accurate, timely financial outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, portfolio finance or investment analysis.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management of standard costs, inventory, Opex and Capex.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and support business decision‑making.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning tools such as Anaplan, SAP BPC or Tableau.
