Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance, accounting and financial control functions for a Japanese financial and leasing company based in Singapore. The role will ensure accurate month‑end and year‑end closing, statutory reporting and tax compliance while supporting business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finance, accounting and financial control operations, ensuring timely month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, statutory reports and corporate tax/GST filings.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Mentor and manage the finance team, driving continuous process improvements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision‑making.
• Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including implementation of a new core ERP system.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred.
• 8–10 years of finance and accounting experience, with several years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in an accounting firm, especially audit or tax, is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of finance operations.
