Food & Beverage Captain

About the role

The Food & Beverage Captain will lead the dining team at The Singapore EDITION, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences. This role combines operational oversight with hands‑on leadership to maintain high standards of quality, safety and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate staff to deliver optimal service, inspecting grooming, attire and performance.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, including setup, equipment cleaning, inventory checks and securing the venue.
• Manage storage areas using FIFO principles, conduct regular inventories and requisition supplies.
• Monitor dining room flow, seating availability, guest safety and overall satisfaction.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and ensure timely repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations and employee coaching.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards and the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, provide assistance to individuals with disabilities and uphold the brand’s service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safety, hygiene and FIFO inventory practices.
