Full Stack Developer (Java / JavaScript)

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a product‑focused engineering team within a leading technology and communications organisation. You will design and build scalable applications, working across both backend and frontend technologies to deliver innovative digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable software applications and backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement and maintain APIs and modular microservices.
• Build responsive web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Improve system design, performance, reliability and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and work with containerised environments.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams to deliver new solutions.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java (Java 17 or higher) and Spring Boot.
• Front‑end expertise in HTML, CSS and at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue).
• Hands‑on experience with microservices, REST APIs and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, relational DBs).
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working in an Agile environment and good problem‑solving skills.
