Global Ocean & International Logistics Lead

About the role

Join Mondelēz International to lead strategic ocean freight procurement across a global network. You will shape sourcing strategies, manage carrier relationships, and ensure cost‑effective, reliable transportation for the company’s snack portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage comprehensive global ocean freight sourcing strategies to optimise cost, service level and efficiency.
• Lead all aspects of ocean freight category management, including market analysis, demand forecasting, tender processes, contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with ocean freight carriers and service providers worldwide.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Finance) across multiple time zones to align expectations and drive results.
• Utilise advanced Excel and data‑analysis techniques to track market trends, analyse performance metrics and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, process efficiencies and best practices in ocean freight sourcing.
• Identify and mitigate risks such as geopolitical impacts, capacity constraints and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards and international trade regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on experience in ocean freight sourcing, procurement or category management within a global supply‑chain environment.
• Proven ability to manage logistics operations across different regions and time zones.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret complex data and make data‑driven decisions.
• Demonstrated experience leading end‑to‑end strategic sourcing processes (RFI/RFP, negotiations, contracts).

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis and reporting.
