Guest Relations Executive

About the role

The Guest Relations Executive is the first point of contact for guests at METT Singapore, a lifestyle hotel within the Sunset Hospitality Group portfolio. You will welcome visitors in the lobby, guide them through arrival procedures, and ensure a smooth transition to their rooms, creating memorable experiences throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Manage front‑desk operations including check‑in, check‑out, currency exchange, room changes, audit balances and daily reporting.
• Provide friendly assistance such as room orientation, escorting guests to their destinations, and using guest names at least twice per interaction.
• Liaise with the Guest Relations Manager on complaints and arrange alternative accommodation when the hotel is fully booked.
• Communicate arrival, room changes, check‑out and special requests to relevant departments.
• Attend shift briefings, ensure proper handover/takeover, and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Maintain a complete guest database with passport details, nationality, date of birth and email address.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar hospitality role, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
• High energy, positive outlook and willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with Opera Cloud hotel management software (preferred).
