HSSEQ Manager

About the role

Fratelli Cosulich is seeking an experienced HSSEQ Manager to lead safety, quality and environmental initiatives for its maritime operations in Singapore. The role combines compliance oversight, audit coordination and on‑board training to ensure the highest standards across vessels and office personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure company compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and conduct DOC, ISM, ISPS and MLC audits.
• Monitor and report safety and environmental KPIs for vessels and shore‑based staff.
• Coordinate with Singapore MPA, classification societies and oil‑major vetting teams (Shell, Total, BP, Chevron) for TMSA audits.
• Lead training, coaching and monthly safety meetings on board.
• Plan and oversee emergency response drills, ship‑to‑shore exercises and incident investigations.
• Manage maintenance of LSA, FFE and critical equipment, ensuring defect closure.
• Organise management review meetings and maintain the Safety Management Manual and Integrated Management Manual.
• Conduct vessel inspections against SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ILO, OCIMF, TMSA and other maritime regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Nautical Studies, Marine Science or related field.
• Certificate of Competency 2/1 (Special Limit) Deck Officer.
• 1‑2 years experience as Marine Superintendent or HSSE Superintendent, preferably in tanker management.
• Proven ability to coordinate audits, manage documentation and drive continuous improvement.
