About the role

Join Madras Café in Singapore as an Indian Kitchen Helper. You will work in a fast‑paced, casual restaurant that celebrates South Indian flavours, supporting the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and warm hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients for Indian dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, wash utensils and equipment, and ensure proper food storage.
• Support basic cooking activities under supervision and replenish supplies during service.
• Coordinate with serving staff to guarantee timely service during peak hours.
• Follow hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
• Team‑oriented attitude with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn traditional South Indian recipes and cooking techniques.
• Basic customer service skills to interact politely with guests and front‑of‑house staff.
