Industrial Software Development Manager

About the role

Thales is seeking an Industrial Software Development Manager to lead and coordinate development teams that design, build, and maintain software solutions for industrial applications. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, compliant, and innovative software while meeting cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage development teams to achieve project objectives.
• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables together with stakeholders.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of industrial software solutions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations and cybersecurity requirements.
• Plan and monitor budgets, resources and schedules for on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Coordinate communication between engineering, QA, operations and other cross‑functional teams.
• Report progress, risks and issues to management and stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and integration of customer feedback.
• Manage vendor or subcontractor relationships as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, industrial software development, DevOps or software engineering.
• Proven track record managing software projects or leading development teams.
• Experience with industrial automation, control systems or related domains is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and the software development life‑cycle.
