Infrastructure Engineer – Server & Infrastructure Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to operate and maintain our corporate server environment across multiple countries. The role focuses on virtualization platforms, Windows and Linux systems, and associated services, ensuring high availability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain server infrastructure, including virtualisation platforms, Windows and Linux systems.
• Plan, test, and execute OS, firmware and infrastructure patching with rollback and compliance tracking.
• Manage monitoring, alerting, backup operations, verification and restore testing.
• Administer virtualization platforms (host lifecycle, capacity, VM provisioning, migrations).
• Provide operational support for Active Directory, directory changes, migrations and regional cutovers.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, working with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for patching, provisioning and reporting.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours maintenance and on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating production server infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere/vCenter.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with patch management, infrastructure monitoring and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
• Ability to support multi‑country environments, work out‑of‑hours and be on‑call.
