Instructor/Assistant Professor – Clinical Skills Teaching

About the role

This full‑time faculty position is dedicated to delivering clinical skills and foundational medical education to MD students at Duke‑NUS Medical School. The role centers on hands‑on teaching, simulation‑based learning, and facilitation of Team‑Based Learning (TBL) in Phase I of the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Teach procedural, communication, history‑taking, physical examination, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Plan, organise and run simulation‑based learning activities in partnership with the Simulation Lead.
• Facilitate TBL sessions, including readiness assurance tests and case‑based applications.
• Provide formative feedback and coaching to support learner development.
• Contribute to curriculum mapping, review processes and the refinement of teaching activities.
• Participate in medical‑education research, presentations, abstracts and publications.
• Serve on committees, task forces and faculty‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in delivering clinical skills education to medical students.
• Familiarity with simulation‑based education and TBL methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff and administrative units.
• Interest in medical‑education scholarship and curriculum development.
