Inventory Business Controller – Global MNC

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Inventory Business Controller to own the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of inventory accounting across a complex global supply chain. This individual contributor role reports to the Senior Manager and offers a hybrid work arrangement with strong progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities, ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods.
• Manage excess & obsolete (E&O) provisions and scrap reporting.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, translate financial data into variance analyses and consolidated Power BI reports for cross‑functional leaders.
• Drive process improvements, oversee cycle counts for audit and compliance, and ensure adherence to IFRS standards.
• Partner with plant operations to optimize inventory, control costs, and support working‑capital management.
• Coordinate internal controls, compliance frameworks, and physical inventory count programs with warehouse teams and auditors.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with professional accreditation (CA, CPA, ACCA).
• Relevant experience in inventory accounting, valuation methodologies, E&O reserve adequacy, and working‑capital management.
• Familiarity with product costing is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage internal controls and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
