IT Support Engineer (Field)

About the role

This position provides technical assistance and field support to end‑user computing (EUC) staff, ensuring smooth operation of both on‑premise and cloud environments. The role combines hands‑on hardware work with system administration and customer‑focused problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights; oversee onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Respond to support requests in person, by phone, or via ticketing system; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and deploy computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Collaborate with the Network team to resolve connectivity problems and assist with basic network device installations.
• Perform routine maintenance, apply patches and updates to keep hardware and software secure and up‑to‑date.

• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with end users and internal teams.
