IT Support Engineer

About the role

VPS is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its Singapore IT function, providing first‑level technical assistance to offices in Singapore, Fujairah, Shanghai and Tokyo. The role bridges the front‑line helpdesk and backend infrastructure teams, handling escalated issues across Windows devices, Azure‑based services and on‑site hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and laptop hardware and software support for Windows operating systems and common applications such as Microsoft 365, Outlook and Remote Desktop.
• Install, configure and prepare computers for end‑users, including laboratory workstations linked to testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot printers, scanners and coordinate vendor resolutions.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, MFA setup and routine administration in on‑premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Provide first‑level troubleshooting for on‑site servers, network switches, access points, routers, VPN and internet connectivity.
• Maintain the IT helpdesk system and support the company PBX phone system.
• Monitor and manage devices via Microsoft Intune and Datto RMM, and administer core Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Collaborate with the HQ IT team and external IT support provider on infrastructure matters.
