Java Full-stack Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Java Full‑stack Engineer to join our Singapore‑based team and develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment. The role combines backend Java development with front‑end React work, and includes responsibility for deployment, monitoring, and client‑facing technical discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write, optimise and troubleshoot SQL queries and database integrations.
• Develop and maintain React components, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs.
• Support application deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure and troubleshoot API gateways and reverse proxies such as Nginx.
• Investigate production incidents, analyse logs, identify root causes and apply fixes.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities in code and third‑party dependencies.
• Lead or participate in technical discussions with clients to clarify requirements and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Solid SQL and database integration skills.
• Working knowledge of React and front‑end integration.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and Nginx.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues through log analysis.
• Good spoken English and clear communication with clients.
