Junior Accountant – Energy & Infrastructure

About the role

Join a leading energy and infrastructure organization in Singapore as a Junior Accountant. You will support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance across a complex, multi‑market business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments, lease accounting and provision adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for statutory audits, tax compliance and management reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger, intercompany transactions, accounts receivable, and fixed‑asset register.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, and participate in SAP S/4HANA enhancement projects and UAT.
• Act as a backup Finance Key User, providing first‑level system support.
• Drive process improvements, assist internal control reviews, audits and corporate tax activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience with strong GL and AR exposure.
• Experience managing a full set of accounts, preferably in a lean finance environment.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA; SAP Concur knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail, strong organization and effective communication skills.
