Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join Circles’ finance team. The role involves handling the full set of accounts for assigned countries, supporting month‑end and year‑end closes, and contributing to process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries including fixed assets, payroll, pre‑payments, provisions and accruals.
• Arrange monthly intercompany recharges, confirmations and settlements.
• Maintain the fixed assets register and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare balance‑sheet schedules, reconciliations and analysis, investigating any unusual items.
• Compile GST/VAT/WHT reports, statutory financial statements and corporate tax information for auditors.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensure compliance with company policies and develop new procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or ACCA/equivalent.
• Minimum two years of full‑set accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical reasoning and deadline‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion (or similar ERP) accounting system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of IFRS/SFRS accounting standards.
