Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join its Singapore Buildings business. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver mechanical design and commissioning for commercial, industrial and data‑centre projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from concept design through construction and final review.
• Collaborate with local and regional design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity.
• Manage project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client feedback.
• Assist in workload planning, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.
• Review drawings, reports, specifications and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of experience in building mechanical design and M&E system commissioning.
• Strong project‑management abilities and proven leadership of technical teams.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards and practices.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to take increased responsibility.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Experience with BIM and Revit.
• Understanding of data‑centre mechanical requirements (preferred).
• Proficiency with engineering codes and standards.
• High level of computer literacy.
