Lead Platform Engineer (Azure, Kubernetes & DevOps)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate delivery platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes for business‑critical systems. Reporting to the Platform, DevOps & Data function, you will drive automation, observability, and production stability across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.
• Develop and support hybrid on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage application deployments, release strategies, environment promotions, rollback planning and production readiness activities.
• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters, container registries, Helm charts, and related load‑balancing solutions.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform, Ansible or comparable tools.
• Ensure platform reliability, observability and incident response using monitoring and logging solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security controls (DevSecOps) into the delivery pipeline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE or related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft‑based enterprise environments (Windows Server, IIS.NET, SQL Server, Active Directory).
• Proven experience operating hybrid cloud architectures and Azure services.
