Lecturer – Electrical Engineering (Power & Distribution)

About the role

The Lecturer in Electrical Engineering will deliver high‑quality teaching and support student learning in power generation, transmission, distribution and related technologies. The role also involves maintaining industry relevance through consultancy projects and industry collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, labs and tutorials for electrical power and distribution modules.
• Supervise student projects and assess coursework and examinations.
• Conduct industry or consultancy projects to stay current with technological advances.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with industry partners, schools and professional bodies.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Academic background in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, or related fields.
• Familiarity with renewable energy, smart building technologies, EV/AGV systems, and predictive maintenance.
• Ability to engage and mentor students, fostering lifelong learning.
