Lecturer – Mechatronics Engineering

About the role

As a Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering, you will inspire and guide students both in physical classrooms and online environments. You will also stay industry‑relevant by undertaking consultancy projects and maintaining strong links with industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and facilitate learning for undergraduate and diploma programmes.
• Conduct industry or consultancy projects to keep skills current and support curriculum relevance.
• Maintain and develop partnerships with industry and schools.
• Participate in regular industry attachments or experiences to update professional knowledge.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with at least three years of practical experience in Mechatronics/Robotics, Electromechanical Systems, Automation, PLCs or Mechanical Design.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching.
• Multi‑disciplinary industry experience, preferably in Industry 4.0, Advanced Manufacturing, IIoT, Data Analytics or Systems Analysis.
• Ability to develop and deliver at least two of the listed technical areas.
