Legal Counsel – APAC

About the role

Monks is seeking a proactive and strategic Legal Counsel to support its Asia‑Pacific operations. The role will focus on commercial contract negotiations, compliance and clearance for creative production projects and marketing campaigns across the region. You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel (APAC) and work closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review master service agreements, statements of work, RFPs, NDAs and third‑party contracts.
• Lead negotiations with internal stakeholders and external clients to align commercial terms with company policy and mitigate risk.
• Provide legal advice on compliance, clearance and regulatory matters for all APAC projects and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the APAC legal team to develop and update contract policies and commercial strategies.
• Support Finance, HR, Tax, IT/Data and Growth teams on legal aspects of their initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level legal professional with experience in commercial contracts and media/advertising environments.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure creative setting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a business‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to collaborate across multiple regional legal teams.
