About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the day‑to‑day accounting and reporting activities for QBE’s Finance Accounting Operations team in Singapore. This senior position ensures accurate month‑end close, regulatory compliance, and supports both internal and external audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to support business operations.
• Oversee month‑end close activities and ensure regulatory returns are prepared correctly.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise reporting processes.
• Manage the daily delivery of accounting services, meeting the specific needs of business partners.
• Provide technical expertise on financial matters, including tax, financial reporting, and treasury management.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
• Drive process optimisation and efficiency targets across the accounting function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing accounting teams and month‑end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory reporting and audit support.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse, review and approve team outputs.
• Collaborative leader capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to implement policy changes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
