Managing Director – Data Center Construction

About the role

The organization seeks a Managing Director to steer business performance, strategic growth, and project execution for data‑center construction across Singapore and Malaysia. This senior leader will drive commercial success, nurture client relationships, and build a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement business strategies to achieve growth, profitability, and market positioning.
• Identify new opportunities, market trends, and strategic partnerships to expand the firm’s presence.
• Lead business development, bid strategies, contract negotiations, and key account management.
• Provide executive oversight of multiple projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Monitor project performance, resource utilization, risk exposure, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain overall accountability for revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Oversee risk management, contract administration, and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure or project‑based environments.
• Proven senior leadership experience (director, business unit head, or executive role).
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing profitability and growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship‑management skills.
