Material Planning Engineer

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a Material Planning Engineer to ensure full material availability for its semiconductor fabs. You will manage the material planning database, forecast demand, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to keep production lines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain data integrity of the material planning database (BOM, lead times, safety stock).
• Perform material analysis and demand forecasting aligned with the production schedule.
• Drive initiatives to improve material usage, reduce waste, and manage excess inventory.
• Lead programs focused on supplier lead‑time efficiency, inventory optimization, and warehouse space utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in material planning, production control or process engineering.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Query and Power BI.
• Coding abilities such as Python, SQL or VBA for automation and data analysis.
