Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D)

About the role

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. With over 40 years of process control experience, KLA’s LS‑SWIFT division provides patterned wafer inspection systems for high‑volume semiconductor manufacturing. The Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to R&D efforts that enable advanced substrate handling performance, reliability and manufacturability across a broad range of applications, including logic, memory, automotive, MEMS and advanced packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems and wafer handling solutions that deliver high‑performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure successful implementation.
