Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design and develop plastic injection‑molded LEGO® bricks. You will apply your technical expertise to improve the quality, performance, and manufacturability of existing brick designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop existing LEGO® bricks using Siemens NX.
• Define technical specifications and own the form, fit, and function of each brick.
• Ensure compliance with LEGO® design principles, quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and play performance.
• Deliver engineering solutions on time, within cost targets, and to required quality standards.
• Apply knowledge of plastic injection moulding, mould design, materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
• Support improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, engineering efficiency, and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic part design.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and proactive attitude.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens NX design software.
• Knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes.
• Experience in mould design and tool making.
• Understanding of materials selection, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
• Root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
