Metal Machining Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Metal Machining Planner to develop and manage detailed work instructions for metal machining operations. The role involves translating customer specifications into clear production plans, ensuring quality and timely documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare machining work instructions based on customer specifications.
• Review engineering drawings for process feasibility and quality requirements.
• Update work instructions and related documentation when changes occur.
• Coordinate outsourced processes and liaise with suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal production teams to meet manufacturing needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the planning cycle.

Required profile

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering.
• Experience or familiarity with machining and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
• Singapore citizenship.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
• Machining process understanding.
• Technical drawing interpretation.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
