Operations Engineer – Server & Infrastructure

About the role

As an Operations Engineer in Sea's System Team, you will ensure the day‑to‑day reliability of corporate server and infrastructure platforms across multiple regional offices. You will work on virtualization, Windows and Linux environments, providing stable, secure, and automated services to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain corporate server infrastructure across several countries, including virtualization platforms, Windows and Linux systems.
• Plan, test, execute, and track OS, firmware and infrastructure patching.
• Manage monitoring and alerting to guarantee timely issue detection and resolution.
• Oversee backup operations, verification, scheduled restores and recovery checks.
• Administer virtualization platforms (host lifecycle, capacity, VM provisioning, inventory, migrations).
• Provide operational support for Active Directory and related identity services.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Maintain runbooks, system documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, tooling and processes.
• Participate in scheduled out‑of‑hours maintenance and on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience operating production server infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere or vCenter.
• Practical experience in patch management and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience administering Windows Server and enterprise Active Directory environments.
• Linux administration experience (packages, services, storage, troubleshooting) is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash or Python for automation.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions.
