Part-time English Teacher (Hourly Paid)

About the role

The British Council Singapore is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic English language teacher to join our team on a part‑time, hourly‑paid basis. You will deliver high‑quality lessons to young learners and adults across a variety of programmes, including one‑to‑one sessions, group classes, enrichment courses, English camps, business English and IELTS preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to individuals and groups of up to 18 students.
• Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
• Utilise educational technology to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain accurate class registers and complete required administrative tasks on time.
• Contribute to the British Council’s reputation for excellence in English language education.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching English to a range of age groups, from preschool to adults.
• Willingness to teach evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong professional teaching skills and a commitment to continuous development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive teaching team.
