Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely medication services. This role involves handling prescriptions, managing inventory, operating automation systems, and providing patient assistance to ensure a smooth pharmacy workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Process medication orders and dispense prescriptions accurately for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
• Pick, pack, label, and dispense medications following established procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory, conduct stock replenishment, cycle counts, and verify incoming supplies.
• Support and troubleshoot pharmacy automation and repackaging systems.
• Prepare sterile and non‑sterile compounded products, including chemotherapy, IV admixtures, and TPN, under supervision.
• Provide courteous service to patients and healthcare staff while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC).
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Organisational and time‑management skills suitable for a fast‑paced healthcare setting.
