Preschool Educator

About the role

As a Preschool Educator you will nurture and educate young children in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. You will design and deliver age‑appropriate programmes while collaborating with parents, colleagues, and volunteers to meet each child’s unique needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement holistic educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and moral development.
• Use creative, interactive teaching methods to engage diverse learners.
• Guide children in building positive relationships, expressing emotions constructively, and developing resilience.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment in line with MTFA standards and respond promptly to any incidents.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress, providing feedback to parents and adjusting support as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents and work jointly with staff, therapists, and volunteers to coordinate care and learning.
• Stay current with best practices, attend required training, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Recognised Early Childhood Education qualification (Level 2) or equivalent diploma/degree.
• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to foster holistic child development across social, emotional, cognitive, and moral domains.
• Team‑player mindset, able to collaborate with parents, caregivers, colleagues, and volunteers.
• Empathetic, ethical, professional, resilient and adaptable.
