Psychology Associate – Program Coordinator

About the role

Under the supervision of an experienced Child Psychologist at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre, the Psychology Associate will coordinate the Kidz Hideout program, delivering holistic group services for children aged 7‑12 at risk of future social maladjustments. The role blends program management, facilitation, and community engagement to build healthy life and coping skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one Kidz Hideout group and assist with a second cohort, meeting twice weekly.
• Manage junior facilitator teams of university interns and adult volunteers.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for program activities and maintain safe, organized session spaces.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑session briefings, engage parents, partner organisations and service providers.
• Oversee documentation, including group, family and partner notes, and ensure regular reviews.
• Co‑curate, plan and execute activities aligned with the program’s philosophy.
• Interview, screen, evaluate interns and produce six‑monthly performance reports.
• Liaise with procurement and finance on billing and financial matters.
• Coordinate operational workflow of Kidz Hideout and internship programs, keeping the Chief of Psychological Services informed.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field (preferred).
• 1‑2 years experience in programme management, community engagement or client‑facing roles.
• Strong interest and ability to engage children, families, teachers and community partners.
• Emotional maturity, self‑awareness and composure in challenging situations.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Observational, analytical and creative abilities with attention to detail.
• Self‑starter capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work evenings and some regular weekends.
