Purchaser – Construction Equipment Procurement

About the role

The Purchaser will support our construction operations by sourcing and buying equipment, spare parts, and supplies needed for daily activities. This junior‑level position offers a permanent contract and company‑provided transport to the Tuas Crescent site.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction equipment, spare parts, and consumables in line with operational needs.
• Request, evaluate and compare supplier quotations to achieve optimal cost, delivery and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms and contract conditions with vendors.
• Generate purchase orders, track shipments and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement records, vendor profiles and cost benchmarks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material demand and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
• Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new products and alternative sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in equipment rental, maintenance or industrial sectors.
• Good knowledge of sourcing procedures for machinery, spare components and technical materials.
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship and data‑analysis capabilities.
