QC Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a QC Technician to support the release of GeneChip arrays. You will work in a laboratory environment, ensuring products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QC testing and review of GeneChip products, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, MDSAP, and 21 CFR 820.
• Prepare targets for Cytoscan and Axiom assays.
• Review and disposition QC batch records for release to QA.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on QC equipment and schedule testing activities.
• Support in‑lab investigations of product failures, implement corrective actions, and contribute to new product releases.
• Trend and monitor QC data to aid troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Maintain controlled documents and provide training to junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma in a science discipline (e.g., Chemical Process Technology, Biochemistry) or equivalent wet‑lab experience.
• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
• Experience handling chemicals and performing laboratory work.
• Strong organizational skills, good eyesight (no colorblindness), and ability to work well in a team.
