Receiving Officer

About the role

The Receiving Officer ensures smooth handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments at The St. Regis Singapore. This position supports hotel operations by accurately receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise and mail while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process deliveries, matching invoices with receiving reports.
• Stage merchandise by department, label items, and deliver them to the appropriate locations.
• Verify inventory quantities, update logs, and reconcile shipping invoices for accuracy.
• Store, ship, and deliver internal and external packages and mail, securing the receiving area.
• Follow hazardous material shipping regulations and company safety policies.
• Communicate with guests regarding package receipt and obtain guest signatures.
• Report any loss, damage, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to work in confined, elevated, or uneven spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
