Remote Golang Developer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to join a leading global software services firm on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while building high‑performance backend services for a distributed micro‑services platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services using Go.
• Optimize existing services for performance, scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional engineering teams to define technical requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Go development experience.
• Proven experience with micro‑services architecture and RESTful API design.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Competence in SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimisation.
