Reservation Agent

About the role

The Reservation Agent will be the first point of contact for guests seeking to book a stay at Mondrian Singapore Duxton. Working under the guidance of the Reservations Supervisor, you will handle enquiries, convert them into bookings and help maximise the hotel’s revenue through upselling and optimal length of stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer reservation enquiries via telephone, fax and email promptly and professionally.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings while adhering to the hotel’s selling strategy.
• Enter and update reservations accurately in the Opera system, including special requests and billing details.
• Utilise the TARS system for reservation management and ensure all data meets departmental standards.
• Apply minimum‑rate and minimum‑stay strategies set by the revenue team.
• Provide detailed information about hotel facilities and promote additional services.
• Process all enquiries and confirmations on the day they are received.
• Maintain organised filing for all reservation correspondence.
• Build rapport with regular bookers to encourage loyalty.
• Identify potential sales leads for the sales team.
• Support colleagues and assist the Reservations Supervisor as needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Positive attitude with a customer‑service mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance.
• Awareness of financial targets and contribution of the reservations function.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera reservation system.
• Familiarity with the TARS reservation system.
• Effective telephone and email handling.
• Understanding of hotel selling strategies and upselling techniques.
