Sales Executive

About the role

As a Sales Executive you will join MSC’s global network and be responsible for growing the company’s customer base in Singapore. You will promote MSC’s maritime services, execute business plans and deliver strong customer service while building a professional network across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new clientele and expand local business through referrals, media, MSC’s network and telemarketing.
• Promote value‑added services such as trucking, barging and permits.
• Respond to RFQs, canvas cargoes on export lanes and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain customer relationships with regular visits, lunches and other engagements.
• Track shipments, collect full shipper details and forward qualified leads to the appropriate Port of Discharge.
• Introduce customers to MSC’s online platform (tracking, sailing schedule, online booking).
• Handle customer complaints and coordinate with Documentation, Operations, Finance and Cargo Flow Management to resolve issues.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Degree in Maritime, Business Studies or a related discipline is an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer‑orientated skills.
• Team player, self‑driven and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with Portnet (preferred).
