Sales Manager – Food Distribution

About the role

We are a well‑established local food distribution SME looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to develop and execute account strategies that drive sustainable growth across key retail channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual sales strategy to meet revenue and gross profit targets for Modern Trade KAs, CVS, Prime, Institutions, Airlines, Restaurants and other customers.
• Focus on expanding our noodle product footprint in the Restaurant sector through targeted sales plans.
• Analyse sales data, market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies and capture opportunities.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
• Prepare and manage the sales budget, trade spend and promotional activities.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and trading terms within authorized limits.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Operations and Merchandising to ensure optimal order fulfilment and resolve delivery issues.
• Liaise with Marketing and Purchasing on product launches, promotions and supplier‑led initiatives.
• Provide market feedback to guide product assortment and procurement decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in food distribution, FMCG or food‑service environments.
• Advanced knowledge of the industry, market, competitors and customer landscape.
• Proven key‑account management and selling skills across modern trade, CVS, institutions, airlines or restaurant chains.
• Strong negotiation, budgeting and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Self‑starter comfortable with both strategic planning and hands‑on execution.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities.
