Senior Associate – Operational Tax

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Operational Tax practice in Singapore. The team focuses on FATCA, CRS, CARF and QI regimes, delivering implementation, remediation and advisory services to leading financial institutions and crypto‑asset service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with advisory assignments such as entity and product classification, health‑checks and controversy management.
• Support clients through end‑to‑end FATCA, CRS and CARF compliance projects.
• Identify regulatory changes and conduct impact assessments for clients.
• Engage with regulators to provide timely feedback and help shape new regulations.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership publications and marketing campaigns that promote the Operational Tax brand.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax or audit within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical ability to understand complex structures and apply tax principles commercially.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear client deliverables.
• Proactive, curious mindset with interest in financial services, crypto‑asset services and tax transparency.
