Senior Associate, Public Relations and Corporate Communications

About the role

The Global Public Affairs team is looking for a Senior Associate to design and execute media communication plans that support Tencent’s business objectives. You will work closely with internal branding, marketing, merchandising teams and an external PR agency to shape the company’s public narrative across technology, entertainment, and international trade.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and implement media communication strategies, set targets and manage budgets.
• Oversee PR agency performance, allocate resources and ensure quality control.
• Monitor daily news, conduct competitor analysis and market research.
• Draft press releases, by‑line articles, speeches and other press materials.
• Collaborate with branding, marketing and merchandising to create PR assets.
• Contribute content for corporate communications and social media channels.
• Prepare competitive analysis reports and propose improvement opportunities.
• Organise logistics for media events, exhibitions, press tours and photo sessions.
• Handle press inquiries and maintain relationships with key media outlets.
• Evaluate partnership, sponsorship and advertorial opportunities and manage related administration.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in public relations, communications or marketing; multinational experience is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous for China‑market communications.
• Excellent time‑management, detail‑orientation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, organized and eager to learn.

• Basic graphic‑design skills.
