Senior Designer BIM/VDC

About the role

Exyte is looking for a Senior Designer BIM/VDC to lead the creation, coordination and delivery of BIM models and drawings across tender, construction, as‑built and shop‑drawing phases. The role supports the engineering design team and ensures all deliverables meet Exyte’s CAD/BIM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender, construction, as‑built, shop and coordination BIM models and drawings.
• Verify and clarify design from an engineering drawing perspective.
• Assist the engineering design team in producing site plans, layouts, sections, elevations and detailed drawings.
• Maintain and continuously update engineering drawings according to revised layouts and design changes.
• Incorporate architects’ and engineers’ instructions into drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate submission drawings with qualified persons and manage subcontractors to meet CAD‑BIM standards.
• Compile as‑built models and documentation, ensuring conformity with Exyte standards.
• Keep the discipline drawing list current and follow the drawing revision system.
• Produce 3‑D BIM models that are constructible and generate 2‑D/3‑D deliverables aligned with the construction schedule.
• Perform material take‑off from 3‑D models and conduct field inspections for design coordination when required.
• Utilize Autodesk Navisworks to verify models are fully coordinated and clash‑free.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or technical institute qualification in a related engineering field.
• Senior level – minimum 5 years of relevant BIM/VDC experience (lead level 10 years).
• Clear, structured communication and highly organized work habits.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience with ACC, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Plant 3D and PID (or equivalent).
• Strong BIM and CAD design and coordination capabilities.
• Ability to produce 2‑D and 3‑D models, perform clash detection and material take‑off.
