Senior Engineer, Security Platform & Infrastructure

About the role

The Senior Engineer for Security Platform & Infrastructure will lead the design, implementation and operational support of endpoint security solutions across a telecommunications environment. You will work closely with internal teams, Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) and OEMs to ensure a secure, reliable, and compliant infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and onboard EDR agents on servers, workstations, cloud workloads and remote endpoints.
• Integrate EDR with ticketing, SIEM and SOAR platforms and validate log forwarding, alert generation and telemetry collection.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, network, cloud and application teams to ensure sizing, connectivity, firewall and proxy configurations.
• Conduct Proof‑of‑Concepts, product evaluations and feature testing for security tools.
• Develop onboarding documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑transfer materials.
• Tune EDR policies, detection rules and alert thresholds to reduce false positives.
• Perform Day‑2 activities such as upgrades, patching, troubleshooting and policy management.
• Support vulnerability remediation, hardening initiatives and audit/compliance activities.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation and collaborate with MSSP partners and vendors for issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience with endpoint security platforms and threat detection in telecom environments.
• Strong understanding of operational governance, compliance requirements and security architecture.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to think creatively and introduce new security initiatives.
