Senior Executive Engineer (Coastal)

About the role

SJSurbana Jurong Group is expanding its coastal engineering practice and seeks a Senior Executive Engineer to lead structural design for marine and coastal projects. The role offers the chance to work on high‑impact reclamation, coastal protection, and marine structure assignments within an international consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Produce independent civil and structural design, analysis, and calculations for wharf structures, caissons, marine retaining systems, temporary works and other retaining structures.
• Lead the preparation of technical design reports, calculations, and drawings in line with project specifications, codes, and authority requirements.
• Manage authority submissions and obtain clearances from agencies such as BCA, LTA, PUB and NParks.
• Review design submissions, provide guidance to the design team, and mentor a small group of structural engineers.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental, and other discipline teams, as well as clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor design progress, report to the Chief Engineer, and address technical issues in meetings and workshops.
• Prepare tender documents, including technical specifications, and review related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PEB) in Civil Engineering – preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of civil/structural design experience in a consultancy environment.
• Familiarity with Singapore authority submission processes (BCA, LTA, PUB, NParks).
