Senior Mechanical Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the planning, execution and delivery of mechanical engineering and construction packages. The role involves overseeing all phases from design review to final hand‑over, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned mechanical engineering and construction packages from planning through completion.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, material submissions and technical documentation.
• Coordinate design requirements with consultants, vendors, subcontractors and other disciplines.
• Supervise mechanical installation and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress, manpower, materials and subcontractor performance within the scope.
• Identify technical, quality and coordination issues and implement or recommend solutions.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting and system hand‑over.
• Review subcontractor work methods and provide on‑site technical direction.
• Maintain accurate progress, inspection, technical and project records.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering and site execution practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering and construction project management.
• Strong ability to coordinate with consultants, vendors and subcontractors.
• Experience supervising installation and ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Capability to monitor progress, manpower and material usage.
• Problem‑solving skills to address technical and quality issues.
• Experience supporting testing, commissioning and system hand‑over.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
