Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

About the role

This contract position offers exposure to all phases of construction cost management, from early cost planning and tendering to progress payments, variations and final accounts. It is ideal for professionals seeking to deepen their consultancy experience within a dynamic project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantity take‑offs and prepare measurement documentation for construction works.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Monitor project costs and support cost estimation and budgeting activities.
• Assess variations and evaluate pricing of commercial claims.
• Review monthly progress claims and aid in final account preparation.
• Support tender exercises, contract administration and related documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers on commercial and cost‑related matters.
• Obtain and compare supplier/sub‑contractor quotations as required.
• Maintain organised records of measurements, claims, quotations and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of hands‑on quantity surveying experience for senior level; consultancy experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction measurement, cost management and contract administration.
• Professional qualifications or membership with relevant industry bodies are advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with quantity take‑off and cost measurement software.
• Familiarity with BOQ preparation, variations, progress claims and final accounts.
