Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Visa, a global leader in payments technology, is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of applications across cloud and on‑premise environments. The role focuses on automation, infrastructure management, and operational best practices to support Visa’s worldwide transaction platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end release management, including planning, coordination, validation and execution of production deployments.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI‑CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues and release blockers.
• Partner with development and platform teams to improve release efficiency and reduce deployment risk.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, ensuring high availability, reliability and security.
• Perform server patching, upgrades and ongoing maintenance in line with security and compliance requirements.
• Provision and manage environments using infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Support containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes, including troubleshooting production incidents.
• Implement monitoring, observability and performance optimisation to maintain operational readiness.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with development and platform teams.
• Ability to plan and execute releases in complex, multi‑environment landscapes.
• Digital fluency and willingness to leverage emerging Generative AI tools to improve productivity.
