Senior Software Engineer – Low‑Code & Cloud Solutions

About the role

GovTech, Singapore’s lead agency for Smart Nation initiatives, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain low‑code and cloud‑based solutions for government procurement systems. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality applications that support public sector digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain solutions using low‑code platforms such as Mendix and OutSystems.
• Design and implement complex workflows, RESTful APIs and ETL processes for system integration and data management.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, QA testers, solution architects and procurement specialists.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports to support decision‑making in procurement.
• Drive adoption of modern low‑code development practices, cloud technologies and DevOps tools.
• Implement and maintain cloud‑based CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and troubleshoot technical issues in applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Experience with low‑code development platforms (Mendix, OutSystems).
• Proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Good programming skills in Java or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and at least one relevant certification.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities, able to work independently.
