Senior System Engineer, Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure, resilient and scalable IT infrastructure across both on‑premises and cloud environments. The role covers Windows and Linux systems, Microsoft Azure operations, Microsoft 365 administration and enterprise networking, with a strong focus on security, automation and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise infrastructure on Windows and Linux platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure and operate Azure services including virtual machines, networking, storage and identity solutions.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, DNS, Group Policy) and Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) environments, handling patching, hardening, capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Manage network components such as firewalls, VPNs, load balancers and routing to provide secure connectivity between on‑prem and cloud.
• Implement security controls, maintain compliance with organisational policies and support audit activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and apply permanent remediation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) and tooling to streamline provisioning, configuration and monitoring.
• Design and maintain backup and disaster‑recovery solutions aligned with business continuity objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on projects, migrations and system upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, virtualization).
• At least 3 years of hands‑on Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID).
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, identity).
